Tour Australia with the British and Irish Lions Male Choir in 2013

This will be the fourth Lions Choir Tour arranged by Melody Music – and promises to be the biggest and best yet.

Since 2001 when Melody Music first formed a Lions Male Choir to tour Australia in support of the British and Irish Rugby Team, the ever changing Choir has toured New Zealand and South Africa.

In 2013 the Choir will once again tour to Australia and will perform concerts in Brisbane, Melbourne, Canberra and end the tour with a Gala Concert at the Sydney Opera House.

The Choir is open to individual Male Choristers and is conducted by Haydn James with accompanist, David Last.

The music performed on tour is standard Male Voice Choir repertoire, and the tour is open to Choristers, wives, partners and supporters.

The Choir will rehearse during 2012 on 3 occasions, with 2 more being planned for 2013 prior to departure.

As the Lions Committee has now released the tour dates we are able to outline our Choir Tour in more detail. At present, the Lions Choir has attracted 71 Choristers, with 32 supporters plus wives and partners.

We still have places available on the tour so interested Choiristers and supporters can email us and we will send our booking forms.

Concerts will be held in Brisbane, Melbourne, Canberra and Sydney – although there may be additional performances and official performances during the tour.
