Mark received his Bachelor of Music Degree from Cardiff University and thereafter Studied Opera and Voice at the New England Conservatory of Music Boston New England. In 1995 he was the first British singer to be awarded a place on the apprentice Opera programme at Santa Fe Opera and in 1996 he was a finalist in the International Belvedere Competition in Vienna.

After leaving University, Mark set up Melody Music Company – which initially was the first Independent Television Production Company in Wales.

During a 5 year period, Mark Produced and Directed many Television programmes and documentaries all over the world. These included such Artists Bryn Terfel, Sir Anthony Hopkins [Bafta], and even pop groups such as Simply Red!

Concentrating on music programmes and concert promotion, Melody Music gradually evolved into its present form: that of a world wide music travel and promotion company for Choirs and musical groups.

As Managing Director of Melody Music Company, which specialises in Choir Tours Promotion Worldwide, he has organised events in Australia [Sydney Opera House, Sydney Town Hall, and Adelaide Town Hall] as well as Poland, United States and Canada, United Emirates, New Zealand, France, Germany, Italy, Slovenia and many more.

Melody Music Company has over the years built up a strong bond of trust with many of the largest choral organisations in the UK and abroad.
It is with this in mind that offering promotion, travel, accommodation all under one roof, Melody Music is a market leader in Choir Travel.

In 2005, a Gala concert was held at the Sydney Opera House, and this is now to become a biannual events – open to choristers worldwide - the next taking place in 2007 [see future events for information] and our News and update section for information. In addition, the Company is planning a Gala concert at the world-famous Carnegie Hall, NY in 2008 [See future events].

In light of the expanding nature of the Company, we are delighted to offer a dedicated service to Choirs world-wide, and to individual choristers. Once a year, in addition to the tours for specific choirs, we arrange a “generic tour” open to choristers from any Choir. Such tours have in the past included tours to: South Africa, New Zealand, the USA, and in 2006 we are planning such a tour to China & Hong Kong [see future events], in 2007, to Argentina and Patagonia, and in 2008 to Washington Boston and New York.

Every tour is managed by a professional Travel and Musical team, working in conjunction with your tour committee to give you the best touring experience – and at the most competitive price. On the singing note, Mark was asked to perform the Lions Anthem at the 2005 Lions Test Matches in New Zealand. His 3 performances were each broadcast to over 140,000,000 world-wide. In November 2005, Mark was one of three judges at the first Warsaw Lira International Choral competition and was asked back for 2006/7/8/9 and 2010
