Melody Music held its third Gala concert at the Sydney Opera House.
The best concert to date at this venue, over 1,700 people were "wowed" with the the performance.
Over 400 Choristers from Hong Kong, Sydney, Melbourne, New Zealand, UK, Adelaide, Wollongong and Canberra took the stage with the Band of the Royal Welsh and the Australian Army Band.
The audience was thrilled with the event and we are delighted that due to the success of this special day, we are already planning the next Gala for 2009.
The Concert was conducted by Haydn James, with soloist, Rhodri Clarke.
The concert, which started at 3pm had Berwyn Evans as the M.C. featured joint items with the Regimental Band of the Royal Welsh [conducted by Major Dennis Burton] and the University of NSW Regimental Band joining forces with the massed Choirs.
M.D. of Melody Music, Mark Burrows opened the show with a brief thank you to all those who had worked so hard over the past few months to make this special event take place.
After the performance he said "to date, we have promoted 3 Gala concerts at the Opera House - normally with a 2 year interval, and this has certainly been the best to date"
