Last night saw the first International Golden Nightingale Choir Festival organised by Melody Music in Carmarthen take place.

Choirs from Poland, Estonia, England, Czech Republic, Ruddia and Wales took part with an International Jury from Italy and Spain.

The winners will be announced at the Gala Concert to be held later today [Saturday] at the Halliwell Theatre, Carmarthen.

 

Organiser Mark Burrows said "It is fantastic to see choirs from so many countries taking part in this first Festival. We will be updating the Golden Nightingale Site [www.golden-nightingale.co.uk] over the next few days and look forward to an even bigger Festival next year in July - also at Carmarthen".
